Ingredients

  • 4 large Portobello mushrooms
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Balsamic vinegar for drizzling
  • Tamari for drizzling
  • Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Salad for garnish
  • Burger Buns
  • Sliced red onion
  • Sliced pickles
  • Ketchup/Mayo/Mustard
  • Optional – Pesto/Guacamole/Chipotle Sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the mushrooms by removing stems. Place the Mushrooms into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Tamari. Season with salt and black pepper. Use your hands to cover the mushrooms in the seasoning until fully covered.
  • Heat the grill or a grill pan to medium heat. Place the mushrooms, gill side up onto the grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes each side or until mushrooms are tender.
  • Serve the mushrooms burgers between burger buns and add salad, red onions, pickles and your desired sauce. Accompany with french fries.
