Ingredients
- 4 large Portobello mushrooms
- Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
- Balsamic vinegar for drizzling
- Tamari for drizzling
- Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Salad for garnish
- Burger Buns
- Sliced red onion
- Sliced pickles
- Ketchup/Mayo/Mustard
- Optional – Pesto/Guacamole/Chipotle Sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the mushrooms by removing stems. Place the Mushrooms into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Tamari. Season with salt and black pepper. Use your hands to cover the mushrooms in the seasoning until fully covered.
- Heat the grill or a grill pan to medium heat. Place the mushrooms, gill side up onto the grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes each side or until mushrooms are tender.
- Serve the mushrooms burgers between burger buns and add salad, red onions, pickles and your desired sauce. Accompany with french fries.
